As I wrote the songs that make up You Don’t Have To Know, I didn’t know what they would become and I didn’t realize I was creating my debut record. The process was total freedom; I allowed myself to be creative and exploratory. Having been in bands for my entire musical life, I was discovering my singular voice as an artist in a way I never had before and it was thrilling.
