"Bob" Zieff. A masterpiece!!!

Founded in 2011 by Fred Thomas, Sam Records presents this first reissue. Sam Records' repressings pay tribute to the people — the musicians, producers, labels, photographers, graphic artists and sound engineers — who created the original recordings that have become enduring legends of 1950s and '60s jazz.

"Significant (was the work of) Fred Thomas, head of the French label Sam Records. His 'replica reissues' reproduced very rare LPs issues on European labels in the 1950s, down to the sleeves themselves, and the musical choices were inspired, resurrecting recordings from important musicians, some of them lesser known." — The Audio Beat, 2013 Awards
