Astrud Gilberto is best known for her iconic 1963 debut recording of "The Girl From Ipanema", performed alongside João Gilberto (her husband at the time) and Stan Getz. In 1977, this classic was reimagined by the "Godfather of Disco" Vince Montana, blending Brazil's bossa nova rhythms with the vibrant energy of 70s disco. Reissued exclusively for RSD25 on a limited edition sky blue vinyl with all new liner notes. Limited to 1,000 copies.
